Stephanie Serrano DDS (Specialty No. 7314)

Dr. Stephanie Serrano is a Board Certified Endodontist and Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics, the highest certification an endodontist can achieve. She is one of the select few endodontists to receive the distinction of Board Certification in the New Jersey and Pennsylvania area.

She graduated from the Honors Program with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Stony Brook University on academic scholarship in Long Island, New York. She received her D.D.S. degree with honors from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.

Dr. Serrano has received multiple awards and recognition including the American Association of Oral Biologist’s Excellence in Oral Biology Award, Quintessence Excellence in Research & Academics Award, Ryan Endowed Scholarship for Future Academicians, New York Academy of Dentistry Research Award and the Best Research Presentation Award at the Leo Sreenby Research Symposium. She was chosen to represent the university and present her research in microbiology at the esteemed International Association of Dental Research Annual Meeting in Seattle and the Hinman Research Symposium in Memphis. Dr. Serrano has also participated in numerous outreach and dental service mission trips to underserved areas in South Dakota and New York.

Dr. Serrano completed a General Practice Residency in Dentistry at the Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital where she had the honor of serving our nation’s veterans and treated their complex dental needs. Deciding to pursue her passion for endodontics, she completed a two-year residency specializing in Endodontics at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Serrano won an award for her research in regenerative endodontics from the university and presented her findings at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Meeting in Montreal, Canada. She was also chosen to serve on the Dean’s ethics committee.

Dr. Serrano successfully completed a series of rigorous examinations to become a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics. Achieving board certification is the pinnacle of the profession and approximately only 24% of endodontists have been awarded this title. As a board certified endodontist, Dr. Serrano is committed to providing compassionate and high quality care to her patients.

In her free time, Dr. Serrano enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, family and friends and trying new restaurants. She also loves traveling and is an advanced open water scuba diver!
