Stephanie Serrano DDS (Specialty No. 7314)

Dr. Stephanie Serrano is originally from Long Island, New York where she graduated from the Honors Program with a Bachelor’s of Science degree from Stony Brook University on academic scholarship. She received her D.D.S. degree with honors from the Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine.


Dr. Serrano received several awards and recognition including the American Association of Oral Biologist’s Excellence in Oral Biology Award, Quintessence Excellence in Research & Academics Award, Ryan Endowed Scholarship for Future Academicians, New York Academy of Dentistry Research Award and the Best Research Presentation Award at the Leo Sreenby Research Symposium. She was chosen to represent the university and present her research in microbiology at the esteemed Hinman Research Symposium. Dr. Serrano has also participated in numerous outreach and dental service mission trips to underserved areas in South Dakota and New York.


Dr. Serrano completed a general residency at the Ann Arbor Veterans Hospital where she had the honor of serving our nation’s veterans and treated their complex dental needs. Deciding to pursue her passion for endodontics, she completed a two-year residency specializing in Endodontics at Temple University in Philadelphia. Dr. Serrano won an award for her research in regenerative endodontics from the university and presented her findings at the American Association of Endodontists Annual Meeting in Montreal, Canada. She was also chosen to serve on the dean’s ethics committee.


In her free time, Dr. Serrano enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and family and trying new restaurants. She also loves traveling and is an advanced open water scuba diver.
